The Royal Observatory Greenwich is the historic home of British astronomy, Greenwich Mean Time and the world-famous Meridian Line. Established in the 17th century by King Charles II and designed by Sir Christopher Wren, it was from here that the great scientists of the time precisely mapped the stars to help navigate at sea. The historic observatory is now a museum focusing on making the history and subject of astronomy accessible for all.

At Astrofest, astronomers from the Royal Observatory Greenwich will be on hand to answer all your space–based questions, and take you on a sensory journey through space.  Our goal is to include everyonein our programmes, and we’re particularly interested in greater engagement with community groups, formal education groups (including teachers) and SEND groups.  Come and have a chat!

Given their success last year, we’ll probably also be giving away badges, stickers and posters!
