Brian May will hold a book signing during the lunch break on Friday at European AstroFest 2016 starting at around 1pm in the conference hall. He'll be signing copies of the London Stereoscopic Company's books and stereo cards. His astronomical stereo cards will be of particular interest to AstroFest visitors in advance of Brian's sold out 3-D presentation which takes place later that day.
Books and stereo cards will be available from the London Stereoscopic Company on stand 30 in the exhibition. Tickets for the European AstroFest 2016 exhibition can be booked in advance or purchased on the day of the event at the door.
Brian May, CBE, PhD, FRAS, is a founding member of Queen, a world-renowned guitarist, songwriter, producer and performer, also a Doctor of Astrophysics, 3-D stereoscopic photographic authority, campaigner for animal rights and a passionate advocate for political and social change.
Forced to abandon his PhD studies in Interplanetary Dust at Imperial College, London when Queen’s popularity first exploded, Brian returned to Astrophysics to achieve his full PhD degree in 2007. He has co-authored numerous publications, including two with the late Sir Patrick Moore and now heads his own publishing house, The London Stereoscopic Company. He designed the company's patented OWL viewer which can be used with a soon to be available smartphone adapter.
